Slipping Into the Dark

Watching her ached, every bit of me ached.

She didn't know I went, she stopped asking a long time ago.

But, I've gone to every one of her shows since sixth grade.

So I go, I still go.

And I watch.

And I ache.

Even when it is dim and there are thirty other girls on stage,

I know which one is her.

I always know.

Tears are streaming down my face because I am here,

And she doesn't know.

I sit among the rest and watch.

And ache.
