Turn it off

Like a faucet

All those memories

Swirl down the drain

But I can't stop it.

Now i see

You look at me in vain.

If you said this 4 years ago

I'd call you insane.

They always say

People can never change

But it is impossible

For someone to forever stay the same.

They rarely change for the better

I still believe that

Because you looked me in the eyes

And told me you'd never

You said the friendship we had

Was always forever. 

You lied straight to  my face

And now i realize

I am losing this race.

I need to look back

And slow my pace.
