Slowly killing me
we've known each other
Since we were five
Now its the middle of november
We see each other for the first time
You tell me you love me
And you want me to be your wife
Cant you see
youre slowly killing me
Those things you tell me
They hurt unbelivably
I like a fool said yes
I thought i knew you you see
Then you hit me and i knew
Youre slowly killing me
In the dead of night i ran away
Took him to court the very next day
Got sole custody of our baby
Cant you see youre slowly killing me
Ran all the way to LA
Became a street urchin
I was only twenty
I met a man there my he is fine
Rich as hell and good looking as well
He told me he would care for me and my baby
Wanted me to be his wife
I said yes again aint i a fool
Cant you see
Youre slowly killing me
With your sweet talking words
I will never be a part of your world
I really am a bad judge of character
Because he was just as bad
He hit me harder than i thought he would
Ran away again this time with two
Took him to court
Got sole custody
Cant you see
Youre slowly killing me
All these bruises and scars are proof im tough
But not tough enough
I ran away to Idaho
I dont know why
It just seemed a nice place to go
I met a man there he promised to love me
Never hurt me
I told him he was lying good try
Cant you see
Youre slowly killing me
I guess i like being punched in the face
Because i keep losing this race
I married him too
He didnt hurt me he was good to me
The other men found out where i was
They came and killed him
Tried to kill me
I ran with my three babies to
The parish down the street
They sheltered me
I remember the last thing he said to me
I guess that will be ingrained in my memory
He told me
He loved me and all three babies
I knew i had to avenge him so i did
I killed them both i did
Now im insane
Locked up in a room
With nothing around no hope all doom
My children with my mother
Safe and sound
Didnt you know.......
You all killed me.
