Smack, smackTake it all backcringe

Smack, smack

Take it all back

cringe with terror and fear

feel the pain seep

the anger creep

Bury it down deep inside

the power of a man

shown through his hand

why are you so cruel?

Perhaps to hide his pain

to confirm his reign

to push it all away

out of sight out of mind

That's what they always say

Sadness, sadness taken out on another

not even a stranger, his very own brother

do you see me? Can you hear me?

God, if you real, open his eyes

save me from this brutal demise

do you see me? Can you hear me?

jesus, I know your up there

can you prove that you really care

mama prayed that you would help

For salvation she cried

and for salvation she died

Now I'm all alone

trapped in this house people call home

no help is commin

im gonna be my own saviour

back out of my way

I'm braver than before

so broken I can't ignore

But God came through

when there was nothing I could do

I couldn't be brave on my own

too weak to talk

to scared to walk

Jesus carried me out of my storm
