A Small Thought

As a child I always had this daydream I pictured a perfect world As clear as the day seem No pain, no struggle Just gold paved streets No more crying, no more sorrow Just world peace And then…I woke up. Open my eyes to actuality I realized I’m disgusted With reality The world’s self-seeking And greedy with hospitality Quick to flip the script Like multiple personalities As the ugliness of the world Takes over People don’t desire to give The world a makeover They only say things For human ears’ satisfaction But words are nothing Without any action So that’s why I’m tired Of a government that won’t bother And Miss America believing in peace Only for a tiara I couldn’t speak on my thought Without the clarity from the Father My heart wants to heal the world And today I decide to be its doctor I operate with my thought And with faith I stand In order for this world to live in peace Depends on a helping hand Also with a loving heart Infused A small thought can turn into an action With a multitude
