smallness


I feel so small in your hands,
the frailty of my wrists
like the stems of lilies,
ready to snap under the weight 
of my own hands.

I feel so small,
so dwarfed by your strength,
that I could live in your palms
for ages, and never
learn their pathways
so completely.
