Smells like melted butterA pinch

Smells like melted butter

A pinch of cinnamon

The local newspaper headlines

Events that will only be known within a five-mile radius

Hesitant sunshine dipping into the kitchen

Lighting the room like no bulb can

A loud, easy yawn

No rush

No clock

Just my coffee that leaves the tongue a bit sandpaper-y

Just my oversized T-shirt and thinly worn socks

Just my morning

Just my lazy smile
