A Smile

Whats needed to make a smile?

White teeth and style?

A smile is just a reflection of self

Underneath it all we are bookshelfs

Holding books from all around the world

I look at myself and see a story only partially told

Without the filters to hide the imperfctions, I am still gold

That was melted and put in a mold to represent diversity

Still wearing a smile through everyday adversity

A smile is a reflection of self

And I am beautiful
