smile

I look in the mirror and try to smile

you ask me what's wrong, and with that same smile i say

nah im good, just tired

I continue my day faking this smile

becuase in our generation now, guess its bad being sad

ha aint that wrong?

have kids posting pictures of how great thier life is

but only to hide the truth of how sad it really is

im a good guy I swear I am

just tired of the heartbreaks and letdowns

man maybe its just better to not give a shit

as ive grown up ive cared too much about what people think of me

man hes fat, he dresses so gay, he has no friends

i pretend to not care

i post a picure saying #selfie with that same damn smile

oh how im tired of faking that smile

yeah beind those filters lies a kid who thinks, a kid who cries, a kid who's done with all the shit thats been thrown at him

all im asking for is a damn chance

because they never gave me that chance

a chance to show you how great i am

not just a kid with a fake ass smile

and now im going to take that chance

show them who i really am

post that picture with a smile

but no not the same smile

a real smile

saying #nofilter

because thats the only way this world needs to see me now
