The Smile
Sometimes you wander through life not sure when to appear. Whether while jumping for joy or trying to mask a tear.
You came out from hiding in a sweet flirtatious way. As you drew into my eyes ever wanting me to stay.
Your vile twin presents us with deceitful and sarcastic intentions. While you entince us with you fabulous and alluring dimensions.
Some sinister villains use you as they hurt and stare. Feeding off the pain and misery they inflict with seemingly no care.
Cherished friends who mean so much to each other. Express you in a laughing manner, as they want to share you .
Portraits from long ago never allowed us to see. Your wonderful beauty and all that will be.
But today you're captured in every moment and space. Like a willing animal waiting to be caught, your reflection stored on a face.
I can count on you always to express my deepest feeling. Like a ray of hope you keep me believing
That your intentions so true, so kind, so real. You always seem to know exactly how I feel.
So thankful I am for what you have given me
Your infectious beauty floods the world with all that was meant to be.
