A smile

The room is spinning All the faces look the same Sinister smiles and people grinning Surrounded by strangers and I'm filled with shame Their eyes pick apart my facade In the moment I feel like an ant So small and I can feel my stomach churn Their quiet whispers turn to a chant Fear builds up and my body starts to burn Its happening again I can't think of words I try to calm down They circle me like birds In my emotions I begin to drown But a smile brings me back to reality
