A Smile

No one cares about the sob stories. Or the pain.

We learn how to keep those around us with that little sciggle

beaming across out faces. Cackles, smierks behind our backs, in front of our faces.

We take these sigmas keeping ignorance our bliss,

staying under the social burdens we call happiness.

Underneath the weight our breath is stolen from us.

Stress acting as our personal dementors and another day passes;

time plagued.

Zombies wandering, searching for anything pleasurable.

The cancers of society draining. Engulfed.

Tired.  And too much..

Explode from the pressure, flying into euphoria

where peace lays. Running into the meadow of paradise.

Looking into the mirror of oneself,

swallowed by ecstasy.

Taking over and empowered.

You are your own self. and without warning

A Smile
