In A Smile

Honest to god,

It's that smile.

The one that I only get

when something is too funny

or too lovely

to even acknowledge.

It starts with a side glance,

a glow in his bright blue eyes,

a side smile,

a smirk, maybe

but amusing.

And its because of me.

In a darkness we both feel a light shine,

it brightens the way for our unexpected life,

offers life a small glimmer of positive

that seems to be so lacking.

And in that moment,

our lights combine,

illuminating a happiness

that we both deserve.

Somewhat of a thoughtless thought, but important.
