Smile

When I am elated, I smile

When I am downtrodden, I smile

I thrust my emotions inside

Say something? Say something?

But, I keep it inside!

What else to do but, flash a smile!

I get misunderstood,

I am discouraged.

There are times, When I am left out.

I mistake the wrong way for right sometimes.

But, I always keep on the perpetual smile,

that perpetual smile!

Today may have been a bad day,

But, tomorrow holds a brighter story!

Where do I belong?

Sometimes I feel empty inside, but I'm still strong enough,

To flash a smile!

Secrets in my head,

travel through this pen outside,

allowing everyone to see!

This is a cruel world,

but it's okay, I have learned to be carefree!!
