Smile

As I look at the news

I see many who hunger

Just a plate of food

Is what their after

If I could change one thing

It would be that little girls smile

whose stomach is empty

her mother makes close to nothing

Just a little hope

from a day to day meal

given to the children of Africa

is what my wish would fill

Just think of the all the lives

that will be saved

and all the grown up children

who’s smile will make anybody's day
