A Smile

Walking past hundreds of people

so caught up in myself

my life such a complicated path

as i meet these peoples eyes

there's nothing that can disguise

That there lives are no easier

their paths just as hard

pain, love, hate, joy, happiness

everybody feels these not just me

why is that so hard for everyone to see

so now not only will i just meet eyes

i will send a smile

i hope that this will make the next fall softer

the next stone clearer

a light in the darkness
