Smile Bright+

We speak without thinking

We hurt without knowing.

It brings us pleasure to see others in pain,

Because we are in pain.

We’ve all done things we regret,

And we all wish there were things we could change.

So let’s recognize

That our words hurt like blades,

That our thoughts can burn like flames.

So why must we bully

Why must we judge?

Why must we undermine others?

Why!

Why stare

Why laugh

Why look down.

We all feel pain

We all see pain

Let’s stand for the weak, and the frail.

Let’s say give love to those that dwell in the shadows of pain.

You’re not alone

And we all understand that pain.

Frustration, fear, inferiority, desperation, and rage.

And even in rough weather

Smile bright with all your hart,

Because the bigger the smile the brighter the light,

And the brighter the light the more harts it can touch.
