A Smile In Time

I try to pretend

that nothing is wrong

that where I'm at in my life

is where I belong

but as days go past

and time flies by

my spirit sinks

an my dreams die.

I know I'm still young

but unable to live

life without you

is all that there is.

Painting a smile

and humming a tune

I know I'll be fine

but will it be soon

soo you will leave.

I know all too well why

and after you do

I will just cry.

I will cry for me

and I will cry for you.

Will you remember?

Your feelings so true.

Or will you forget

the minute you're gone

how we met

and where it went wrong.

One enchanted moment

suspended in time,

I've folded up your memory

and I'll keep it for time.
