That Smile of Yours

A smile burnt into your heart,
Your mind, your memory.
It takes millions of years
To wash away a burn,
To refresh your flesh,
To ignite the dimmed light.

A smile can quake your world,
Shake you awake,
Draw you into a coma.

That smile of yours,
Can heal all my scars,
Push me off a cliff,
Be my defeat in all wars.

But that smile of mine,
Can make you turn away,
Cut the string,
Be the flame on my wings.

Your smile burns
Dark in my eyes,
Harsh on my breath,
Beams in my mind,
Wild in my dreams.

A smile burnt into my heart,
My mind, my memory.
It takes millions of years
To wash away that burn,
To refresh my flesh,
To ignite the dimmed light
From the corners of my soul
And the wonders of your smile...
