Smiling Sunlight
My eyes are tear-filled
My head is spinning
My soul feels crippled
But the sunshine is coming
I take a step into the wilderness
of busy streets and bustling lives
the sky is clear and cloudless
streaks of light dance before my eyes
It's so simple and short
This story of warmth and love
Amid darkness and hurt
I can count on nature to give me a gentle shove
When the world pushes me to the ground
The sun always warms my heart
When I think that hope can't be found
Sweet sunshine pulls me out of the dark
