A Smith none the less

A Smith none the less

            Driven to success

            Hired into life

            Stung with blisters

            Beaten at every corner

            Words cannot suffice

            Pain that drives one

            Life is a gateway

            Through many doors

            Lit in red and white

            Crawling with things

            Seen or unnoticed

            They come upon you

            Hacking and whacking

            Again, till you say

            “Let me rest”

            Give in they wish

            Ask for mercy

            Do not speak of this

            For you are strong

            Family of all

            Forged in fire

            With your own desires

            Challenge your demons

            Be brave, swift, smart

For you are a smith, none the less
