smoke

Smoke.
thick white smoke blanketing me in a gravid cloud. i'm slumped on the ground, on some sort of flat surface and i can discern nothing except the heavy vapor. languidly, the air clears- wait. its not that the smog begins to ameliorate, its more that something emerges from the gloom. its a conscious thing, i think. some sort of bipedal form with no distinguishable features, no way to tell it gender, or race, or intention. a blank slate that is the source of the haze obscuring my senses. it wafts the mist towards me, i breathe it in i absorb it. it fills me up and seems to be the only thing letting me survive, the one corporeality that allows me to be. and there we sit, an impossible creature and a humdrum personality surrounded by thick white Smoke.
