Smoke and Mirrors

I see the empty in your eyes

and feel the cold by your side.

I hear the fable in your lies.

Your surreptitious strikes,

crashing in the way of a tide.

I'm familiar with your falsehood

like that of my every day life

I'm so adept to the hidden in your smile,

it makes me question why?

Why I so intimate with your dark side?

Where have I seen this before,

This hidden cupboard of recongizable strife...

Where's my cupboard and

What is in mine...?
