smoke plumes

As time passes, my mind drifts further and further away from eternal consciousness

Your touch becomes equal to that of my bed

Losing that personal connection more and more

Smoke plumes farther and farther up,

caressing my ceiling as my mind claws for you

Tears wash down my face and yours

The word "love" etched into every corner of my small room

Insanity dives into my arm, becoming my best friend

Your footprints are lost in the falling snow

As i leave this place, your touch returns to its former glory

becoming my life, my home.
