Smooth Beats On A Canvas

Nodding off or bopping

either or is enlightening

to a situation

I am made aware.

Distracted by a melody

These smooth beats move,

but cause me to

stop and listen.

How is this happening

when the deep deep pink

sloshes into a wet puddle

dripping everywhere?

Brush clean,

beat clean;

New color,

new song.

I carry on:

stroke—

pause—

bop!

a finished playlist.

a finished canvas.
