Snake Bites

A product of my generation

The product of hate

It's poisoning our water supplies, our children, our lives

Its not a product of man

Its not a product of woman

It's the story of our ancestors

Passed down from our psyche, the bubbling poision

Oozing into our soul and self-worth

filling us with hatred of those who are different

And those who are inside us.

So let us suck the posion out

And take pride in our love of self

And not care how it looks to the other people

Because now you are the different ones

And now you are everything they are not.
