Snakes

Cry you a river instead I'll write me a letter,

on how they say things are different and that we are getting better.

But I'll just sit back and contemplate,

because i will always hesitate and wait for the day

when the daggers hit my back.

I dont deserve that especially when i confided in the snakes.

They roll in my life temporarily, takes my personal information, and slithers away.

Then they hiss back, how could you do that?

How could you hug me, reassure me, all the while your fingers are crossed behind your back.

Then they wonder why my trust is low,

its because of the hissing and slithering of hungry snakes waiting at my back door.

But I'm a hunter now,

I gun down the people who want me to cry them a river

after they figured out that they did me wrong.

No longer will I be labeled as bait,

or make the same mistakes by different snakes.
