Snapped my heart

You snapped my heart like you snapped that stick,

Broke it against your knee

I think I’m going down
I can’t believe the way you broke me so easily

No turning back,

No regrets,

You crushed my heart

Like you crushed those leaves

Shredded them up,

And now you’re moving on

Tell me, how am I supposed to breathe?

You skipped me as easy as the stones last summer,

Throwing them into the pond,

You tied me up, rocks attached to my feet

You threw me in, and I accepted defeat.

No turning back,

No regrets,

You snapped my heart

Now you’ve gotta live with that.
