The Snow

I walk through the forest,

under the full moon.

Feeling it's going to happen,

and it's going to happen soon.

The Snow starts to fall,

all the way down,

brushing against my feet,

before it hits the ground.

Then I hear it,

the most beautiful sound.

I sreach for her,

but she cannot be found.

"Your future lies before you,

like the freshly fallen snow.

Becareful where you walk,

for every step will show."

I look around scared,

wondering if this is a test,

I begin feeling light headed,

and wanting to rest.

I take a step in the snow,

and my foot starts to burn.

My footsteps are being set in stone

and thats something I didn't know, but learned.

I find a cave,

thats utterly dark.

I carefully turn around to see my footsteps,

have made their mark.

"You can't go back now,"

She said.

"Whats done is done,

and you must go on ahead."

I face back to the cave

realizing now i must face my fate.

What ever is in inside,

I must take on knowing the stakes.

The cave is full,

of everything i have done.

Every mistake weighted on my shoulder,

is starting to weigh a ton.

"In here you must make piece,

for what you have done.

Believe me when I say this,

this is not going to be fun.

Start by forgiving those who have hurt you,

and left you scared.

Who took a knife to your heart,

and started to carve."

My eyes start to glisen,

and tears escape my eyes.

How can i make peace with all those mistakes,

and all of those lies.

I will never forgive those people,

for what they did.

How could i?

I was just a kid.

I begin feeling hopeless,

as I fall to the floor.

Forever haunted,

and I will be nothing more.
