snow

the snow is falling children are dancing it’s cold outside and sam is thinking her eyes are green greener than green she had cute little hands and a beautiful smile she takes her time and walks in a straight line the snow is coming down harder than before if only we knew what lies ahead we would be able to prepare for it sometimes it just comes so fast it’s like a deer in the headlights everything we do seems to speed up it’s like the night he left the house the roads were icy and it was dark another person was driving the same icy roads he wasn’t paying attention and neither was the other person a ball rolled out into the street a little boy was playing with it the snow was deep the boy wanted his ball he ran out into the road grabbing the ball his mom looks out the window she notices him light up the boy looks up like the deer in headlights in only an instant the trucks collide the boy is trapped and all at once it goes dark and just like that everyone’s world seemed to end
