Snow

I look out the window at the grey skies.
Much to my delight I see the white speckles of frozen water" wafering down to the ground
By the closed window I feel the cold crisp air maneuvering its way through any crevice it can find into the warmth of the home.
I breathe I breathe I breathe
I close my eyes
For the hrs that follow, the wind swirls the snow into mounds of white puffs
It seems for that moment the world is safe.....
Everyone has stopped and there is a quiet that falls all around us.... The snow is our blanket
That protects us....
Soon the snow will stop, and we will begin to move again
But for now "We are Safe"
