The Snow Angel

Those stone-cold eyes hath stolen honest sight.
Eardrums no longer beat the song of truth.
A pair of wings commends a mane of white.
A sheet of icy skin preserves its youth.
So blind, it cannot see its blessed touch
Leaves frost-bitten hearts and blizzards of tears.
Opening up its eyes will not do much,
When cries of pain befall on broken ears.
"Blasphemy!" It shrieks at sinners deemed.
Such poor, misguided creature wonders why
Fear-stricken eyes align with throats which scream
When giving children gifts from powers high.
If only this creature could one day see
Why people scream "The Snow Angel, cursed be!"
