But Snow Melts
Dear Deceiver,
Snowflakes coating the ground in pure, white bliss,
Sparkling like thousands of diamonds in light,
Reminding me of our very last kiss
And making me think that we are alright.
The wind blowing away all past remnants,
Clearing from mind all the bad memories,
Forgetting you never paid your penance
Because it stole that thought away with ease.
The snow so white it is nearly blinding,
Not letting me see anything clearly.
Your lies constantly leaving me aching
But with each comes a sweet apology.
But snow melts and fades to oblivion
And I remind myself never again.
Sincerely,
Elleigh
