Snow for You

Sunlight falls on shining snow
Giving off its cold cheer glow
Hand in hand, arm in arm
I assure that snow will do us no harm
It may be winter that brings us this blight
But know that I will be here tonight
Hands intertwined and bodies too
Leaving behind the world that we knew
Step once more out into the sun
And play and talk till the day is all done
Out with our friends we're all kids again
Never wanting these cold days to end
But the sun will soon set and the stars will soon rise
The worlds last resting and calm compromise
Pooled in blankets with sweet dreams in bed
As friends love and sugar plums danced in our head
While dark and cold this season may be
We make it seem brighter with the friends that we see
And as the tree softly glints in our slow drifting sight
I say I love you all, and to all a good night.
