Snowflake
Snowflake
Yesterday when this poem was written
I knew I had to write something for this
I wasn’t sure how to approach it since I hadn’t known him for long,
Then I looked outside and watched the snowflakes fall from the sky
And realized that snowflakes are like all of us
Sparking an idea,
It’s a miracle when we are born,
None of us are the same or alike in anyway
Each of us with our own unique design and likeness.
When falling from the sky to the ground it reminds me of our life span,
Amazing when it begins,
And mind blowing when we get to see and experience wonderful things
Like the care and love we all share with one another and all the ones around us,
All of whom you would do anything for if the time ever arose.
But the most amazing thing about life is death,
It teaches us that life is precious,
That there is no need to wait till it ends.
The fact that one day all of us will be gone,
Inspires us in times like this
To live life to the fullest and make everything count.
So be comforted by my words I say today,
Even though life starts and ends
It is Important to look at the good things that came from it,
Even though you don’t want to die and realize that you will miss it all
Know that everyone including you will be taken care of,
So like a snowflake
Our lives start and end
We are all part of a bigger picture,
And even though one of our loved ones is gone your care and love for each other will never disappear.
It will stay and be preserved in your heart,
Serving as a happy memory of his extraordinary life here.
