So Awesome

I guess Shy Glizzy said it best,

"I'm so awesome!"

Call it being conceited but I call it taking pride in myself.

I come from a neighborhood where cop cars and gunshots are heard more frequently than lullabies are sung to babies,

But that does not mean it's not still awesome.

Call me crazy but I tend to see the good in my hood.

There might be police tape spread from tree to tree but we still march in the streets to honor the slain, I think that's awesome.

So awesome.

My mother may be struggling to make ends meet sometimes but she never gives up on her faith.

She'll say, "God's got a plan for me, just watch,"

She never lets the circumstances get her down and that's awesome

So awesome.

You can't have sunshine without rain and most understand that.

My senior year of high school was one of the hardest years in my 18 years of life but look at me now.

Sophomore in college, reaching for the stars.

I'm so awesome, so very awesome.

Crazed roommates, family issues could not force me to waver, I finished my freshman year successfully,

That's awesome.

Circumstances could not stop my drive regardless and that is awesome.

No, actually, that is phenomonal!
