So christ died
Do you wish to die unduly?
How do you feel of thinking death,
not only thinking death, but the
scratches, scrunches, the crinkles
and wrinkles?
We have wished to live and to love
but no ears to listen, that coming,
when screams; Save me! Save me.
Then we forget all of our pledges.
But he never failed, that we seek,
bruises of whips and bleeding thorns
as we stood in a distance, cried and
withheld promises like never made.
He was tired, that tree, and he said;
Forgive them father, because they
are innocent.
So painfully and faithfully, died he
and was the act of hope, Christ died.
But mind you, he lives, living for you
and I, and that voice;
Come unto me, all ye that labour and
are heavy laden, and I will give you
rest.. and of that, Christ died.
