So class is now back

So class is now back in action,

The teacher creates groups to memorize new terms

Not knowing she's forcing the newest faction

Now sit and watch as they all squirm.

Students drone and do as their told,

"Learn this," "Learn that," "You'll need this for the test,"

The fire to strive and do as you wish turns ice so cold,

Yet students are told they must be at the top, the best.

School is for the best, do not misunderstand,

To manifest in knowing what the world has to bestow,

Student's minds are still able to expand.

But in or out of school, the mind will continue to grow.

In all of this, maybe I stuck out too much my neck.

Hopefully teachers aren't coming for no more than a paycheck.
