So deep I can't even

I read these poems and wonder what they mean

When nothing really means what it really means

The words are convoluted to a desperate degree

In a teenage rebellion trying to get free

I feel like such a phony because my poetry's not deep

And sometiems, gasp, it rhymes, how un chique

I cannot slam about feelings that I cannot express

When someone wants to read my poetry, no, I contest

I am a deep thinker that cannot comprehend

that words to express what I mean in the end

The words are a narrow path that circles round and round

When the theme is questioned, it runs off and cannot be found

I write word diarrhea that sometimes comes out pretty

But when people look at my poetry, golly gee do I feel shifty
