So High
We were so high
We could kiss the sky
We felt like the stars
Forgetting all our bitter scars
We went up
We never went down
We went yonder
We never went behind
This is what we saw
We were always high
So we saw
Much more than anybody saw
Cause we were so high
Like the eagles we soar
We never landed
Like the farmer we sow
And we always rip
Like the watchers we saw
Those who weep
Crying for their fouls.
Like the wise owls
We hooted what we saw
Like foolish fowls
They ignored our hooting.
The higher we are
The wiser we are.
