So Many Reasons

The other day someone asked me why I had a crush on the boy I do And it got me thinking, And I found so many reasons why Because the boy I like never makes me feel stupid when I got a bad score in Math And he hates Mrs. R just as much as I do, He always finishes his part in group projects We both like the same old music, He always jokes with me, He listens when I talk, He thought my sheet music reading skill was cool Even though I know his saxophone-playing self knows how to read music And he always repeats himself just like I do He has never excluded me from a conversation And He said the most perfect thing I have heard come out of a boy's lips He asked me what my favorite song was, And when I hesitated cuz I couldn't pick one He Said "I know it's a hard question, I couldn't pick either" And I realize how many things we have in common And I know why I really feel for you, Because the way your secretly green eyes caught the light in Algebra And the way we talk about music, I couldn't imagine falling for anyone else

A young girl chasing a dream that can't be caught, Holding onto hope that is too far gone Losing her mind trying to help others get theirs back Prayers go unanswered no matter what she does It's the life of no one, no one but me
