So Maybe I Won't

Location

Looking back on the year,

I may have changed my hair

Or the clothes I wore

Or maybe I would have talked to that boy

Who gave me a smile and winked;

I might have won that tennis game

Or tried harder on my history test

Or stuck to giving up chocolate for lent;

I may have done this,

what if I had done that?

What if’s are constantly running

Through my mind, but I think

That if I had to change one thing,

I wouldn’t change anything at all

Because that would have changed

Who I am today, no matter how small

Or tall that change would have been—

I am who I am because of

Everything I did last year,

So maybe I won’t change anything

At all
