So We Write

So we write.

To preserve our fading wants

To remind us that our dreams do count

That waiting makes us stronger

And praying takes us further.

So we write.

Our smiles and our tears

Our greatest joys

Our deepest fears

We write because we have no hope

We find our hope in each pen stroke.

So we write.

To bring light

To find our light

To keep it burning bright.

So we write.
