So What

So what if I’m Latina -Doesn’t mean I am illegal -Doesn’t mean I am in a gang But yes, I’m Latina and I’m proud of it Just because my skin is brown -Doesn’t mean I am a criminal -Doesn’t mean I don’t speak English But yes, my skin is brown and I’m proud So what if I’m short -Doesn’t mean I can’t stand up for myself -Doesn’t mean I can’t reach for my dreams But yes I’m short and don’t care what you think So what if I wear glasses -Doesn’t mean I can’t see you making faces at me -Doesn’t mean I can’t see my bright future But yes I’m blind but not blind to the truth Judge me but judge me for ME!
