So What?
So what if my skin is darker
If my hair is thicker
If I have a daughter
So what if you think I’m mean
That I’m ratchet as hell
If I’m dirty instead of clean
So what if you will never love me
Because I love me
And so does my mama
With my darker skin
Yet pretty face
With my “ratchetness”
With my slim waist
With my attitude
With my short fuse
With my thicker hair
Because I am me
That darker skinned girl
So what, I don’t care.
