So What if I do This Right?

So what would it be if I did it right?

Woo your heart with majesty?

I’d give thee flowers of all kinds

And years worth of poetry to describe your beauty to me.

What if I took your hand and caressed it

And brought you to foreign lands?

Would that be right?

If I wrote you a song to fill your sky,

Or took you in my arms for all the night?

Who could I turn to?

Why, I wish it were you.

I could recite the greats or take you on an escape

Through mountains and rivers and we could stay in a cape.

But if only you were mine.

I could lie all the night tide and wonder who or why

But in reality it seems the question isn’t “is it you or me?”

But the reality seems to be,

If only in my dreams.

So if I do this right would it matter?

Or could we still be along?

If only I knew it mattered,

So what if I do this right, or is there a wrong?
