So You Call This Love?

So you call this here love? When i buy you this and i buy you that?

When the world is at your fingertips. . . not when a white person can love a black.

You call this here love, all because your heart just isn't broken,

When behind the closed doors your heart was never truly open.

I've longed for your all, not embrace or physical touch

If I was to beg for your time, you would respond that that is too much.

Love is what you soul can offer, but you lies just give off warning,

To even have a taste of true love you must have a true taste of mourning

True love comes through learning that love is never around the corner

It must emerge from a moist seed that was truly always just a loner

True love was never a long road, its a trek amongst your world

Where heaven and hell below will battle to see how your life will unfurl.

So i ask you once again, you dare to call this here love?

But your answer will be the same, like the song of an early morning dove.

I concede, yes, i quit, for you'll never understand

That your love in your heart is meant for me, this lonely man
