So You Can't See Me?
Look I know you ahve dead eyes
They don't work and you screamed at the world
"Why, why, why?!" As you shot rounds
I know your eyes are dead
But let's not forget the fear you saw in mine
Sure you can't read a book,
But you can read a soul,
Cut open and dried
Now it's been a year- maybe two
Oh, you said you loved me
But what was done to show that?
Have you walked into that court room,
And let me run into your arms?
No...no you didn't
You didn't even try
You didn't even give a shot
...Where's your gun now?
You say "It's complicated"
You say "I can't see you, baby"
You said you loved me
You said you couldn't try
You say a lot of things,
But Daddy, I see your punctured soul
And I know the truth behind what you stole.
