So you fell in love with the boy...

The boy with eyes as blue as the sea.

The boy who wears his hats backwards ever since that one time you tried to kiss him and that stupid hat got in the way.

The worst singer ever, but he will still do it because he knows you’ll be smiling by the time he’s finished, and god he loved your smile. 

The boy whose laugh is so contagious your cheeks will burn and your stomach will clench so hard you won’t be able to breathe.

The one that made you see everything a little bit differently.

The one who chose you when you swore no one ever would.

You fell in love because you can and because you will. 

And every day, you fall harder and harder knowing that one day it will all end.

Because he’s not your forever, but he is your now, and that’s all you need.

So fall for him, and fall hard, and tell him you love him with every chance you get.

But make sure to tell the next girl who does the same that his world is success and his heart is golden, she’ll learn that. His mom is the number one girl in his life, she will never pass that, and when she meets her she will understand why. Tell her she may not like his music until the day he shows her a song and says “this reminds me of you,” after that moment his music will be the best music she will ever listen to. Tell her to cherish that moment she may not get another one like that. Listen to his stories, his dreams, and his ambitions. Tell her about the way his eyes sparkle when he talks about her or his future with her, he might every now and then even though he says he won’t. Tell her to support him, if there’s one thing he wants more in this world its support, especially from her, but again that’s something he will never admit.

And be sure to tell her that she is the one who has the honor and the privilege of loving him next, so her one task is this: do not ever let his smile fade.

And for you. Don’t hate her. It will be hard at first, seeing him with someone that’s not you, but you have no right to hate her. Let him be happy, if there’s anything you’re positive you want it’s for him to be happy, utterly happy. 

So, you fell in love with the boy. The most perfect boy at the most imperfect time. Just wait it out there’s always a plan from this point on, maybe you’ll have him again soon or maybe you’ll have someone who can make this void in your heart full again. Until then just know, you fell in love with the boy who loved you just as much, if not more.
