Soar Evermore
My son, you grew so quickly
Just yesterday so young, so small
Today you told me something
Not easy a task at all
As we sat in the kitchen
You took hold of my hand
"I have something to tell you," you said
"And I hope you'll understand."
Your silent pause lasted ages
But son, I already knew
I'm so relieved you came out
And now you can be you.
I am inspired by your bravery
By living authentically and rising above
Stand up for equality for all living beings
And always believe, "Love is love."
